Foundmates respects the rights of creators. Members upload photos and write text on the App, and we do not allow content that infringes someone else's copyright. If you believe something on Foundmates uses your work without permission, you can ask us to remove it.

How to send a takedown notice

Email support@foundmates.app with the subject line "Copyright notice" and include, as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)) requires:

Your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.
A description of the copyrighted work you say was infringed.
Where the material is on Foundmates, with enough detail for us to find it (the member's first name and what the content is, or a screenshot).
A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

When we receive a complete notice, we act quickly to remove or disable access to the material and tell the member who posted it. If the member believes the removal was a mistake, she can send us a written counter-notice, and we will pass it to you. If you do not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of members who are repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances.

Not copyright?

To report someone's behavior or a safety concern, use Report in the App or choose "A safety concern" in Me, Contact us. To report a photo of you that someone else posted, email us with a link or screenshot and we will review it promptly.
